Electromagnets for steel billets, rails, forged and semi-finished parts

The rectangular DIMET EMG series electromagnets with a cast magnetic core are intended for handling semi-finished metal parts, rails, and forged products. These electromagnets for steel billets, rails, forged and semi-finished parts are more advanced models of the equivalent PM15, PM25, PM26 electromagnets built in the USSR. Available in a heat-resistant version for hot loads (up to 650 ˚С).

The electromagnet poles can be coated with hard-alloy electrodes. This prevents rapid wear of the poles, thereby increasing the service life of the electromagnet.

• The fully cast housing with cooling fins has a large heat-transfer area, which prevents the electromagnet from overheating during operation and extends continuous operating time.
• High-quality wire with increased insulation significantly reduces the risk of turn-to-turn short circuits. This wire makes the electromagnet especially easy to repair, since in the event of a failure only the coil needs to be rewound.
• The thermal insulation seal provides an optimal coil temperature during use of the electromagnet with loads of up to 650° С, thereby ensuring stable load capacity.
• The high-quality filling compound prevents electrical breakdown between the coil wire and the housing and reduces overheating of the electromagnetic coil.
• The reinforced shielding plate provides reliable protection of the coil with a notably longer service life of the electromagnet. The clamping bands of the electromagnets are made of 09G2S steel, which is characterized by high strength and greater wear resistance.
