Electromagnets for coils – lifting from the side surface

The special DIMET EMGB series are electromagnets for coils, lifting from the side surface, and are used for handling coils of steel sheet and wire rod in the horizontal direction. The magnetic core design allows for maximum load capacity, adapting to the particular characteristics of the load to be handled, despite the magnet's minimal volume. The special supports incorporated in the poles increase the contact area with the load. This solution makes it possible to achieve higher performance from the electromagnets of the EMGB series.

Benefits

• The sturdy welded special housing is designed for use under unfavorable environmental conditions and has a large heat transfer surface and a reinforced impact layer to protect the two-piece terminal boxes.
• The coil material is high-quality wire with increased insulation, significantly reducing the risk of interturn short circuits. This wire makes the electromagnet especially easy to repair, since in the event of a fault the coil only needs to be rewound.
• The thermal insulation seal provides an optimal coil temperature during use of the electromagnet with loads of up to 650° С, thus ensuring the stability of the load capacity.
• The high-quality potting compound prevents electrical breakdown between the coil wire and the housing and reduces overheating of the electromagnetic coil.
• The reinforced shielding plate is reliable protection for the coil with a noticeably longer service life for the electromagnet. The clamping bands of the electromagnets are made of grade 09G2S steel, which is characterized by high robustness and greater wear resistance.
